Please note that, with the exception of the Parade and the Designer Tour of Homes, all events listed below will be held at the George Washington Masonic Memorial (101 Callahan Drive, Alexandria)
Consistently ranked by the Southeast Tourism Society as one of the top 20 events in the South, the Scottish Christmas Walk Weekend draws nearly 30,000 individuals and families to the Parade. Tourists travel from throughout the Mid-Atlantic region to participate in this celebrated community event.
The Walk Weekend Events, including Saturday's Parade and Home Tours are held rain or shine. In the event of severe weather on Saturday morning, please watch this site for additional information and/or contact The Campagna Center at (703) 548-0111 for a recorded message on any delays or cancellations. Remember, we are a hardy folk and if the streets are open, we plan to march!
Thursday, November 29
A new feature to the Walk Weekend, children will be entertained by the lively music of Al "Mr. AL" Rasso, a versatile entertainer and educator who has recorded twenty children’s albums. Tickets are required.

Santa will greet children at this special tea party along with children's author and Alexandria resident Leslie Young. Accompanying Ms. Young, will be the main character in her books, Plaid the Scottie dog. For a small fee, children can have their picture taken with Plaid and Santa.

Celebrate the joy of the holiday season at the inaugural Scottish Christmas Walk Weekend Celtic Concert, presented by The Washington House & Sunrise of Alexandria. Including performances in the grand Masonic Memorial theatre by: Members of the Alexandria Symphony Orchestra, TC Williams Chamber Choir, and Fynesound - a traditional five-member Scottish musical group.

Grand Marshal: Senator and Mrs. John Warner
Over 100 Scottish Clans, pipe and drum bands, Scottish dancers, re-enactment groups, Scottie dog groups, dignitaries and, of course, Santa Claus will march through the streets of Old Town.
Route: Beginning at the corner of Wilkes and South Saint Asaph Streets in Old Town and ending at King and Royal Streets

Following the parade, the massed band concert takes place at King and Royal Streets in front of City Hall at Market Square.

Stroll through lovely homes dressed up for the holidays by acclaimed interior designers and local florists. Tour will be held rain or shine. Tickets are non-refundable. Sorry, no pets or children under the age of 12 are permitted on the tour. Additional details to follow.
